Canadian high-fidelity manufacturing stalwart, and 20-year warranty legends Bryston have just showcased their new top-of-the-line active loudspeaker systems, and amplifiers. The new systems include three speaker models – Model T Active, Middle T Active, Mini T Active) and two amplification solutions (21B3 mono blocks, 24B3 six-channel, single chassis). All speakers are equipped with BAX-1 DSP active crossovers which takes the full-range amp signal, and divvies it up into three-way, corrected signals (treble, mids, bass) that can be user-adjusted to tweak bass response. Having heard an active Bryston system built around the Model T Signature loudspeakers, 7B mono blocks, and the B26 preamplifier last summer at HiFi Centre, I look forward to hearing these latest efforts in the near future. –Rafe Arnott From the press release: At the heart of every Bryston Active system is the BAX-1 crossover. The Bryston BAX-1 is a digital crossover containing proprietary software for each active loudspeaker model.
